October additions and acquisition routes

The older comparison below is a September baseline, not a complete current roster or a fresh balance verdict. The October 4 report adds the following named troops. Their acquisition routes do not imply equal availability today.

Reported unitReported routeGuide
Laestrygonian (5 stars)SummonsAcquisition guide
Myrmidon (4 stars)SummonsMyrmidon guide
Nökör (3 stars), Bataar (3 stars), Khorchin (4 stars)Mongol Battle PassPass availability and progression
Morningstar (4 stars)Mace evolutionMorningstar route

No tier is assigned to these additions without comparable current gameplay evidence. A past event listing does not prove pass rewards remain obtainable. Check today’s banner and pass before spending.

Rapier profiles from Update 2

The directory also has Rapier and Rapier Knight profiles. Their absence from the old 26-entry table is another reason to treat it as a dated baseline. Current transformation conditions have not been corroborated for this review, so a separate step-by-step evolution article is deferred.

Follow a progression route

Use the unit profile for role and counters, then use the process guide for training, selecting the correct copy and checking the evolution preview.

How to compare units

Compare troops within the same battlefield role. Shield units create time, ranged units convert that time into damage, cavalry exploits open ground, and block-damage units punish defensive walls. A lower-tier unit can be the right choice when it covers the role your four-slot army is missing.

Verification policy

Names, star costs, and evolution paths are cross-checked against dated gameplay references and the October acquisition report. Exact numerical stats are not estimated. Open a unit profile to see its dated confidence statement.
