Parry mechanic

Current Update 2 reporting associates the Rapier line with a new Parry trait. We do not publish a trigger rate, damage reduction, cooldown, or guaranteed interaction until the live unit panel or an official note exposes a stable value.

Counters and matchup expectations

Likely strengths to testRisks to test
Flanking slow formations, pressuring exposed backlines, contesting open objectivesBraced spears, shield-heavy lines, tight terrain, and being surrounded

These are tactical test hypotheses based on the reported fast-melee identity—not official counter multipliers.

Evolution and acquisition

Rapier is reported as the base unit that evolves into Rapier Knight. Exact summon source, chance, mastery requirement, and cost remain Checking.

Formation partners

Test Rapier beside a durable shield screen and protected ranged pressure. A fourth anti-shield or anti-cavalry slot can cover the matchup that fast melee does not solve. Avoid using an unverified Parry value as a reason to replace a proven frontline.

Verification status

Multiple recent sources name Rapier in the Guild & Ranked update, but at least one major tier-list source initially stated that the update added no new units. The profile is therefore published with conservative labels and no invented numerical stats.

Sources and confidence

Verification ruleOfficial presentation and live in-game panels outrank third-party tables. Conflicting stats stay marked “Checking” instead of being presented as fact.
