Quick answer
Imperial Wall is reached through Shieldman → Sentinel → Imperial Wall. Eurogamer’s October 1 guide reports a unit-level 20 requirement and an Evolve podium opposite Ascension. This is a progression route, rather than an instruction to summon the final form.

Quick answerStart with the correct unitPrepare without losing progression copiesUse the Evolve podiumIf evolution is unavailableBuild around Imperial WallSources
Start with the correct unit
| Stage | Unit | Your next action |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Shieldman | Train this stage and inspect the preview for Sentinel. |
| 2 | Sentinel | Train this stage and inspect the preview for Imperial Wall. |
| 3 | Imperial Wall | Check the resulting card and equip it if it fits. |
If you already own Sentinel, start at that stage rather than repeating earlier acquisitions. The source lists the chain; it does not establish that a final form is available from today’s summon pool.
Prepare without losing progression copies
Select the copy you intend to use and read its unit level or Mastery. The reported 20-level gate concerns the troop; a high account level is not evidence that this copy qualifies. Keep useful duplicates while planning Ascension, and review Auto Delete before another summon session.
Keep rarity stars, Ascension and Mastery separate. Read the current evolution preview for its output and any additional requirements. No universal Gem fee, material recipe or carried-over upgrade rule is asserted here.
Use the Evolve podium
- Train Shieldman through battles if it has not reached the reported unit requirement.
- In the lobby, locate Evolve. The October 1 guide places it opposite the Ascension area.
- Open the evolution interface and choose the intended unit in the input marked with a plus sign.
- Check that the output is the next stage in Shieldman → Sentinel → Imperial Wall. Review every cost and warning before confirming.
- After the first transformation, inspect the Sentinel card and its eligibility before attempting the step to Imperial Wall. Do not assume one confirmation skips a stage.
- After confirmation, inspect the collection for Imperial Wall; selecting an input or seeing a preview is not proof of completion.
If evolution is unavailable
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| Unit missing from selection | Confirm you own the correct stage and have not filtered or deleted it. |
| Wrong output | Cancel and compare the input name with the route table. |
| Confirm unavailable | Read the unmet requirement; verify unit level rather than only account progress. |
| A cost differs from an old guide | Use the current confirmation screen and postpone if you cannot afford the result. |
Record the exact message before retrying. Buying unrelated summons or class upgrades cannot be assumed to clear an evolution requirement.
Build around Imperial Wall
Our editorial role recommendation is a defensive screen for a capture point. Keep the shield line between the approach and your ranged troops. Use Hold on useful ground, then bring the rest of the army forward while the screen absorbs attention. A wall left far behind a moving fight cannot protect anyone.
Treating a tougher shield line as your main damage source leaves the enemy free to stay in the fight.
Compare how long your ranged line can keep firing and whether you still hold the objective. If block-damage troops break the wall quickly, change the supporting counter slot before assuming another progression upgrade will fix the matchup.
For a fair first comparison, leave other slots, commander class and Skill Tree investment unchanged. Read the Imperial Wall unit profile for its role and counters; this page explains the progression process.
