What the update is about
The October 10 cosmetics report describes customization alongside gameplay adjustments. This is an update briefing, not an in-game shop audit: we have not purchased these items or tested their effects. Players returning from Update 2 should review the new menus before using saved Gems. A familiar-looking store can now contain purchases with very different purposes.
Appearance or progression?
| Item or system | How to evaluate it |
|---|---|
| Weapon skin | Choose for its appearance; do not assume a damage bonus. |
| Horse armor | Treat as appearance unless the current item description states a gameplay effect. |
| Horse leveling | Read the live progression panel separately from the armor shop. |
| Unit balance changes | Review the October balance briefing before changing your army. |
The buying question is simple: would you still want the item if it changed no battle result? If the answer is no, spend time on a known progression goal first. A skin and an upgrade can share a screen without sharing an effect.
How to review the daily shop
- Inspect the item name and preview, then compare it with the appearance you already own.
- Read the currency and final confirmation amount. A price in an old video is not a current quote.
- Check any ownership, availability or timer message before planning a later purchase.
- Set aside the Gems needed for your next roster goal before buying an optional look.
A rotating selection can encourage a rushed decision. A useful personal rule is to record the item and leave the menu once before confirming. That separates liking the design from reacting to a timer.
Returning-player checklist
Claim only rewards actually shown as available on your account, review the horse progression guide, and check your existing formation before chasing new purchases. If a troop was rebalanced, one controlled test is more informative than spending on several changes simultaneously. Keep a screenshot of the old and new unit card so level or Skill Tree changes do not get mistaken for a patch.
Common questions
Does an armor name prove extra protection? No. Read the effect text; a visual armor item can be cosmetic. Is the shop price fixed? This guide does not publish a universal price list because the current menu is the transaction authority. Should new players buy skins first? Our editorial recommendation is to solve a clear progression or formation problem before optional customization.
